This refers to the telephone discussions between Mr. N. Kalivianakis and others of your staff and Mr. C. Williams and others of this office on January 22, 1982, regarding repair of the Reactor Water Clean-up System (RWCU) piping on Quad Cities Station, Unit 2.
With regard to the matters discussed. we understand that you will not initiate any of the planned repair of the non-isolatable portion of the RWCU without the concurrence of the NRC Region III Regional Administrator's office. Repair program development and procurement of material for this portion of the repair may proceed.
The above information was confirmed in a telephone conversation between Mr. Byron Lee and Mr. Cordell Williaan on January 22, 1982.
Please inform us immediately if your understanding of this matter is different from that stated above.
