Docket flou. 50-361 and 50-362 San Onofre !!uclear Generating Station, Unita 2 and 3 Thin let,ter <.onfirma verbal notification on January 8, 1982 of a con _iition dincovered in construction which in concidered potentially reportable in accordance with 10CFH50.55(c).
The Low Preocure Safety Injection Flow Valve FV 306 on Unit 2 wan found to have a cracked coupling in the actuator cyctem.
The condition could caune a poncible lono of nyntem control by allowing the valve to,unume an indeterminate position resulting in inadequate fl ow in the Low Precuure Cafety Injection System under accident conditionn.
We are performing an evaluation of thin condition and Will aubmit an appropriate report in accordance with 10CFR50.55-(e)(3) 11 the conditlen in determined to be reportable.
