This is to provide information requested in reference (c) regarding the review o f field changes at Byron Station.
At Byron, significant design changes, such as the modification or addition o f new structural steel in a restraint assembly, receive a documented design review and approval on the contractor discrepancy report.
This review is performed by the responsible a rchitect engineering ( A/E) firm and completion of the review and approval is indicated on the contractor's discrepancy report.
Design calculations, when required, are retained by the A/E.
T o provide control o f the design change, the A/E Initiates an FCet (Field Change Request Fo rm QP 3 -2.2) and cross references the FCR number on the discrepancy report.
Work authorization is provided by the A/E approval o f t ne contractor discrepancy report design.
The FCR as approved by the A/E is then transmitted to the Commonwealth Edison Construction Departmeat for further processing and distribution.
