This is to confirm two telephone notifications made to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on Friday, January 8,1982 at 1750 hours0.0203 days <br />0.486 hours <br />0.00289 weeks <br />6.65875e-4 months <br /> and 1753 hours0.0203 days <br />0.487 hours <br />0.0029 weeks <br />6.670165e-4 months <br />, to inform Mr. E. R. Swanson, NRC Region III Inspector and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Operations Center, utilizing the " red phone", of the following finding:
During a review of surveillance test procedures to verify that all technical specification test requirements were fulfilled, it was discovered that two ESW valves were not being tested as required by T/S 4.7.4.1.b.
As required by the Action Statement for T/S 3.7.4.1 power reduction commenced at 1825 hours0.0211 days <br />0.507 hours <br />0.00302 weeks <br />6.944125e-4 months <br /> until one of the affected valves could be tested. At 1837 hours0.0213 days <br />0.51 hours <br />0.00304 weeks <br />6.989785e-4 months <br /> the East ESW train was declared operational and the requirement to reduce power was terminated.
A followup report will be submitted by January 21, 1982 as required by Technical Specification Section 6.9.1.8.
