PRECAUTIONS 1.

The position of the Technical Director will be established as follows: The Tech Staff supervisor or the Assistant Tech Staff Supervisor normally act as the Technical Director. In the absence of either the Tech Staff Supervisor or the Assistant Tech Staff Supervisor, the following Tech Staff Group Leaders will become the acting Technical Director until relieved by the Tech Staff Supervisor or his assistant.

The Technical Director or acting technical Director normally works out of the TSC.

The first Technical Director to arrive on-site reports to the Control Room (CR) to obtain status. (Attachment A) 2.

The second Technical Director to arrive on-site establishes communications between the TSC & Control Rcom GSEP communicator.

Make cn ertimate of the extent of the emergency and make recorreiendations to the Station Director.

7.

Keep the Station Director informed of the plant status and assist in emergency and restoration planning.

8.

Evaluate vital plant parameters using Attachment A where necessary to determine the overall condition of safety-related systems, the core, ard fission product barriers.

9.

Prepare required procedures in support of recovery cperations.
