Dear Sir:
References:
(1) NRC License SNM-1097, Docket #70-1113 (2) Application Amendment N-4/S-15, Replacement of Incinerator Facility, 12/27/79 With reference to activities authorized by SNM-1097, General Electric Company hereby transmits the additional outstanding information related to our 12/27/79 application amendment concerning the operation of a replacement incinerator facil'.ty at the GE fuel facility plant in Wilmington, N.
C.
Additionally, the initial request has been modified, as noted within the document, to reflect design changes made during the project.
The enclosed attachments to this letter include the revised application and supporting appendices.
Required drawings will be transmitted later pending a review to eliminate proprietary content.
Your cooperation in providing an expedient approval of the amendment request would be appreciated.
Installation of the equipment is virtually complete.
Burn-in and non-radioactive trash burn trials will begin this month.
Measurement system qualification and additional trash burn trials will be completed in January and February 1982.
It is imperative that GE receive the operating license by March 1982 so that burn-plan schedules made to the NRC and GE Corporate management are met.
Based on this schedule, GE would expect to be advised of any outstanding items no later than February 1,
1982, so that responses can be completed in support of the March 1,
- 1982, license date.
