Thank you for your letters of August 10 and November 17, 1981, in response to our letters dated June 10 and Septecher 30, 1981. As a result of our review, we find that additional information, as discussed with your Mr. H. Behr during a telephone call on llovember 25, 1931, is needed. Specifically, for Items A and B, you have not provided the actions taken to correct the specific nonconformances that were identified; e.g., has an E.C.O. been generated to document the lug substitution as required by your QA Hanual, and have the QA checklists been corrected to reflect that certain operations have been performed? Regarding Item G, you did not provide the actions taken to correct the deficient welds observed on the battery charger cabinets being fabricated for Public Service of Indiana's Marble Hill fluclear Generating Station, Units 1 and 2.
Further, you did not indicate whether or not the personnel to be used for welding inspections received training in the use of weld fillet gauges and the new weldi.g inspection procedure, or the date(s) that the training session (s) were or are to be held.
We have no further questions regarding Items C, D, E, F.2, and 11.
Further, we acknowledge your change of response pertaining to Item F.2 dealing with welding inspection documentation not being available.
