Dear Mr. Palladino:
I have taken the time to review and analyze information currently before you regarding the licensing of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant because of its crucial i=portance to California's energy needs.
I as concerned about ru= ors making the rounds to discredit qualified con-sultants contracted by the Pacific Gas and Electric Co=pany to conduct a co=prehensive independent audit of the project.
I want Diablo Canyon operated under safe and responsible con-ditions.- What we cannot afford, however, is to allow the licensing process to unnecessarily prolong delivery of electric power and deprive Californians of needed energy.
