Appendix NOTICE OF VIOLATION Arkansas Power & Light Company Docket No. 50-368 As a result of the inspection conducted on November 30, 1981, and in accordance with the Interim Enforcement Policy, 45 FR 66754 (October 7, 1980), the following violation was identified:
10 CFR 70.53(a)(1) states, inpart:
"In preparing and submitting the reports, (Material Status Reports), described in this paragraph, the licensee shall comply with the printed instructions for completing the particular form."
Line 30 cf the printed instructions requires that receipts of SNM or source material reported to NRC on DOE /NRC Form 741 be entered on this line. This may be done by listing individual receipts by Reporting Identification Symbol (RIS) as reported on DOE /NRC Form 741, or a total of receipts from each individual RIS during the report period.
Contrary to the above, the licensee failed to' reflect on its listing of individual receipts by RIS, corrected copies of Forms NRC-741 that occurred i
for the period being reported that resulted in changes in SNM values for both individual line items and total weights received. Total receipts reported were correct, but all Forms DOE /NRC-741 supporting this receipt activity were not reported.
This is a Severity Level VI violation (Supplement III).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, you are required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of this Notice a written state-ment or explanation in reply, including for each item of noncompliance:
(1) corrective action taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective action to be taken to void further noncompliance; and (3) the date when full com-pliance will be achieved. Under the authority of Section 182 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, this response shall be submitted under oath or af firmation.
Consideration may be given to extending your response time for good cause sho-a.
