NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 69 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-1, issued to Portland General Electric Company, the City of Eugene, Oregon, and Pacific Power and Light Company (the licensees), which revised Technical Specifications for operation of Tr'ojan Nuclear Plant (the facility) located in Columbia County, Oregon. The amendment is effective

__, tion instruments-by identifying the minimum number required to be operable by fire detection zones within each safety-related area; (2) adds operability

requirements for fire detection instruments' in eight additional areas, and (3) modifies the vi.sual inspection of fire hose stations in ' areas which are' in-accessible during plant operation to require such inspections during each cold shutdown exceeding 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> in duration.

The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), arid the Comission's rules and regulations. The Comission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulatiers in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set' forth in the license amendment. Prior public notice of this. amendment was not required since this amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
