WJ This is in response to your letter of October 23, 1981 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, copies of evacuation plans pertaining to several categories of individuals living within a 20-mile radius of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant.
We have been advised that the most recent evacuation plan for Diablo Canyon is contained in several documents relating to the overall Emergency Plan which are identified as follows: Amendment No. 86 to the operating license application consisting of Revision 3 of the Diablo Canyon Power Plant Emergency Plan dated August 31, 1981 and Appendix A, which is the Corporate Emergency Response Plan, Revision 1, dated May 11, 1981, including the Corporate Emergency Response Plan Procedures (2 volumes);
procedures for the Diablo Canyon Power Plant Emergency Plan (2 volumes);
and a report entitled " Earthquake Emergency Planning at Diablo Canyon" dated September 2, 1981 (3 volumes). The total page count for these documents is 3,303 pages. The documents have already been made public, and can be obtained by writing to the NRC Public Document Room (PDR),
1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20555.
The charge for reproducing records located in the PDR is five cents ($0.05) per page, as specified in 10 CFR 9.14(a).
Upon your agreement to pay the reproduction charges, the PDR will arrange for the records to be reproduced by Literature Research Company, a private reproduction contractor servicing the PDR.
You will be billed by Literature Research Company for the reproduction charges, p'.us tax and postage.
These documents are also available at the NRC Local Public Document Room (LPDR) which is listed on Appendix A.
If you have any difficulty locating the LPDR, you may telephone the NRC's LPDR Branch toll free on (800)638-8081.
