SYSTEMATIC EVALUATION PROGRAM TOPIC V-7, REACTOR COOLANT PUMP OVERSPEED - YANKEE R0WE Topic V-7, " Reactor Coolant Pump Overspeed" is a generic topic being resolved under ilRR Generic Issue B-68, " Pump Overspeed during LOCA." The concern is that if a reactor coolant pump assembly is driven to a speed which would cause structural failure of the unit, it could result in missiles which could increase the consequences of the LOCA. Of greatest concern is the pump flywheel. Since Yankee Rowe has no pum flywheel, but is a canned rotor pump, Topic V-7 has been deleted for Yankee Rowe.
