Subject:
Approval of Grand Gulf Security Program This is to notify you of our ' approval of the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Security Program which includes a physical security plan, guard training and qualification plan and safegu'ards contingency plan. We have determined that, with one exception, all' plans meet the requirements of 10 CFR Part 73.
Enclosed is our proposed lice'nse condition incorporating these plans into the operating license for the Grand Gulf Huclear Station. The single license condition regarding the compe'nsatory measures for intrusion alarm systems will be removed when the applicant provides appropriate plan page changes.

ENCLOSURE Docket No. 50-416 GRAND GULF NUCLEAR STATION LICENSE CONDITIONS The licensee shall maintain in effect and fully implement all provisions of the Commission approved physical security plan, guard training and qualification plan and safeguards contingency plan, including amendments made pursuant to the authority of 10 CFR 50.54(p).
The approved plans, which contain 10 CFR 2.790(d) information, are collectively entitled:, " Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Physical Security Plan," Revision 1, dated September 25,1981; " Grand Gulf Nuclea " Station Security Training and Qualification Plan," dated March 11, 1981 as revised July 24, 1981; and the " Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Safeguards Contingency Plan," dated July 29, 1981.
The licensee shall develop and employ, in accordance with 10 CFR 73.55(g)(1),
compensatory measures for the failure of all alarms, communication equipment, physical barriers, and other security related devices or equipment to assure that the effectiveness of the security system is not reduced by failure or other contingencies affecting the operation of the security related equipment or structures.
