During our review of SEP Topic VI-4, " Containment Isolation Systems" we found that additional information (see enclosed) is needed to complete our review. Provide your response within 30 days of the receipt of this letter so that our evaluation can be completed in a timely manner.
The reporting and/or recordkeeping requirements contained in this letter affect fewer than ten respondents; therefore, OMB clearance is not required under P.L.96-511.

Provide updated information regarding the containment isolation provisions for all containment penetrations, including pipe penetrations, spare pene-trations, fuel transfer tube, equipment hatch, and personnel. air lock (s).
Include the following information in tabular form:

System affiliation /line function; c.
Fluid contained; d.
Line size (inches);
e.
Essential or non-essential; f.
Reference to P&ID showing arrangement of containment isolation barriers; g.
Isolation. valve number; h.
Location of valve (inside or outside containment);

Primary mode of valve actuation; k.
Secondary mode of valve actuation; 1.
Normal valve position;

Containment isolation signals; q.

Where blind flanges are used as isolation barriers, verify that they are leak testable.
3.
For those systems penetrating containment which justifiably use remote manual isolation valves, discuss the provisions for detecting system leakage for the purpose of alerting the operator of the need to isolate the affected system or system train.
