Docke t Nos. 50-361 and 50-362 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3 This letter confirms verbal notification of a condition discovered in preoperational testing which is considered potentially reportable in acccordance with 10CFR50.55(e).
This condition involve s leve l alarm switche s in various - safe ty related applications which have become inoperative due to corrosion.
The switche s were supplie d by Magnetrol International of Downer's i
Grove, Illinois with electrical enclosures which do not caet the procurement specifications.
We are perfonning an evaluation of the deficiency and will submit a report of our conclusions and corrective action taken in accordance with 10CFR50.55(e) (3).
