SUBJECT:
SAN ONOFRE UNITS 2 & 3 NUCLEAR PLANT SITE The purpose of this memo is to describe the " additional information" mentioned in the last paragraph of my memo to you dated September 28, 1981. Copies of the items which make up the " additional information" are attached.
These items were submitted to the Hearing Board on July 31st by Mr. Phifer, They consisted of:
1.
A nine page outline entitled "NRC Presentation Outline."
I assume Phifer followed this outline in making his presentation to the Board on June 25th.
2.
Three copies of a sheet with several stream gradients, which is entitled
" Stream Profiles - Camp Pendleton".
3.
Three copies of a map which apparently shows Mr. Phifer's interpretation of faulting in the vicinity of the San Onofre Plant Site. The map was modified and compiled from the Santa Anna Sheet, and is dated July 10, 1981.
4.
Three copies of a sheet showing two profiles in the vicinity of the San Onofre Site, along the coastline and perpendicular to the coastline.
It is entitled "NW-SE & NE-SW Structural Sections Camp Pendleton, July 1981".
There is no explanation of, basis for, or text accompanying items 2, 3 and 4.
Therefore there was not sufficient information upon which I could base an evaluation or judgement.
