Bailey, Physical Protection Inspectors, on November 13-15, 1977, of activities authori=ed by NRC License No. DPR-26 at Indian Point Station.
Your December 20, 1977, letter stated that
()
it appeared that certain of our activities were not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements, these were set forth in the Notice of Violation enclosad therewith as Appendix A.
Our response to these items of noncompliance-presented ~in the attached Appendix A - is being submitted at this time in accordance with a January 6, 1978 telephone conversation between Mr. John Streeter, Reactor Inspector, and our Mr. John Makepeace in which a request for a two week extension of the reply date was approved.
In accordance with Section 2.790(d) of the NRC's Rules of Practice, Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, correspondence and reports to or from the NRC which identify a licensee's control and accounting procedures for safeguarding licensed special nuclear material or de-tailed security measures for the physical protection of a licensed facility, are exeapt from disclosure.
We under-stand therefore that this letter will not be placed in the Public Document Room and will receive limited distribution.
