General Electric Company Occket No. 99900003/81-01 NOTICE OF NONCONFORMANCE Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on February 17-20, 1981, it aoneared that certain of your activities were not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below:
Section 5, Instructions, Procedures and Drawings, of the General Electric Topical Report, NE00-11209-04A, states in part, " Activities affecting quality,... are delineated, accomplished, and controlled by such documents as policies, pro-Cedures...."
The Wilmington Manufacturing Department ASME Code Compliance Manual, Revision 5, states in part:
"4.3 Precaration of the Material Recuest Material Requests (MRs) are prepared by the Production Control (PC) organi-zation using the ML and MMSPI as the requirements for a particular procure-ment.
Appropriate revision status of drawings and specifications are included in the MR along with applicable Code effectivity."
Contrary to the above, the applicable code effectivity was not included in an MR and its subsequent purchase order (See Details, paragraph C.3.c).
