Gentleren:
- te are reviewing your Novecher 25, 1975 subnittal proposing changes to the Technical Specifications for Dresden Unit 1.
These chant,es provide operating limits for the elevated minimum pressurization te=perature for the Dresden Unit 1 pressure vessel.
Le have detern.ined l
that the additional inforreation described in the cnclosure is necessary
)
to continue our review.
To enable us to maintain our review schedule please submit the requested infor::stion by February 13, 1976.

~ C0bMONNEALTH EDISON C5MPANY DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATION UNIT 1 DOCKET NO. 50-10 REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REVIEW OF PROPOSED DPERATING LIMITS FOR MINIMUM PRESSURIZATION TEMPERATURE 1.
Your proposed change deletes specification 3.6.B.3 which requires that the temperature of the vessel shell immediately below the vessel flange be maintained at er abcVe 130*F whenever the vessel head bolting studs are under tension.
Please provide a safety evaluation to support this deletion, i
2.
What is the current maximum integrated neutron fluence (Nvt > 1 Mev) on the Dresden 1 reactor vessel.
3.
Appendix G tv 10 CFR 50 Section IV A.2.c. states that, "in no I
case when the core is critical (other than for the purpose of low level physics tests) shall the temperature 6f the reactor vessel be less than the minimum permissible temperature for the inservice system hydrostatic test nor less than 40*F above that temperature required by Section IV A.2.a." Please revise your proposed Figure 4.6.2 " Pressure-Temperature Relationships for Dresden 1 Per 10 CFR 50 Appendix G" to be consistent with this requirement of Appendix G to 10 CFR 50.
