Notice is hereby given that the U. S. Atomic Energy Comission (the Commission) has issued Anendsient No. 9 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-2 to the Comonwealth Edison Company (Comonwealth) of Chicago, Illinois. The subject facility license, as previously issued, authorizes Commonwealth to possess, use and operate its boiling water type nuclear reactor known as the Dresden Nuclear Power Station Unit 1, located in Grundy County, Illinois.
Since Septenber 1962, comonwealth has been authorized to operate Unit 1 at i
power levels up to 700 megswatts (thermal).
The current amendment reissues the licence in its entirety for the purpose of (1) incorporating Technical Specifications consistent with the requirements of Section 50.36 of 10 CFR Part 50 of the Connission's regulations, (2) deleting from the license those itens, such as recordkeeping l'
and reporting requirements, now incorporated in the Technical Specifications, and (3) censolidating (in current Regulatory license format) tho. provisions of previously approved anendnents, changes and other authorientions.

security or to the health and safety of the public.
The staff also has concluded that this action does not involve a significant hazards consideration since the incorpcration of Technical Specifications governing operation of the facility and the related restatement of the license are not based on new l
j information and do not have any adverse affect on the probability or consequences of accidents or margins of safety.
Consequently, public notice of proposed issuance of the amendment is not required. The details of the Regulatory staff's review are contained in the concurrently issued Safety
