The Nuclear Rtgulatory Co:rmission (the Commission) has found that:

The application for arendment by the Co::c:on.ccalth Edisc'.
Company (the licensee) dated July 6,1977, as supplemented by filings dated November 11, 15, 28 and Dccenber 14, 1977, co:nplies with the stancards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and tl.e E r mission's rules and regulations set forth in 10 CFR Chapter I; E.
The request for extension of the August 21, 1975 Erengtica dated July C,1977, as supplemented by filings of Movcmber -11,15, 28 and Dececber 14, 1977, is arthorized by law cnd will not endanger life or property er the con acn defense and security and is othen/ise in the public interest.

The facility will operate in conformity with the application, the provisions of the f.ct, and the rules and regulations of the Con:nission; D.
There is reasonable assurance (i) that the activities authorized by this amendraent can be conducted without endancering the health and safety of the public, and (ii) that such activities will be conducted in ccrpliance with the Ccc.iission's regulations; E.

and fire protection mcdificaticus ir.cluding related activities which could affect these projects such as the decontamination program and construction of a new radwante fccility.

Surveillance Requirements:
(1).
The backup diesel gcnerator shall be r,-lly started and loaded once each mcnth to ecc..cnstrate operational readiness.
The test shall cor.tinue until both the diesel engine 2nd the pnerator

Every week the specific gravity and voltage of the back up diesel battery shall be r.:atur ed.

Once a month the cuantity of diesel fuel for-the back up diesci shall be verified ;c Le greater than 4500 gallons.
