In reference to the proposed change from 50,000 gpm to 500,000 gpm 1.
blowdown from Units 2 and 3, please provide the following (at average flow and low flow in the Illinois and Xankakee Rivers).
An analysis of the increased blowdown on the thermal characteristics a.
of the Illinois River.
b.
A description of the thermal effects of this change on the biota of the Illinois River.
An analysis describing how this change in blowdown (and presumably c.
change in intake) affects the Kankakee River.
(1)
Furnish values for water intake velocities at the trash bars and traveling screens when blowdown is 500,000 gpm.
(2)
Provide an analysis of how this change affects impingment and entrainment.
~
(3) What percentage of the Kankakee River flow will now be used -
at the intake (total Units 1, 2, and 3 intake) during operation with 500,000 blowdown?
2.
Provide the data, models, and assumptions used in answering Question 1 above.
