m This is in response to your letter of 13 December 1971 addressed to Mr.
Herbert F. DeSimone, Assistant Secretarv for Environment and Urban Systems, Department of Transportation, concerning the draft detailed statement on the environmental considerations for the Oconee Nuclear Station, Unit No.1, of the Duke Power Company, South Carolina.
Reference is made to our letter of 24 March 1971 addressed to Mr. Harold L. Price, Director of Regulation, AEC, regarding this Department's previous review of the Oconee Station.
The concerned operating admmistrations and staff of the Department of Transportation have reviewed the additional material and the draft de-talled statement on the environmental considerations of the Oconee Station and no further comments are offered.
The opportunity for the Department of Transportation to review this re-port is appreciated.
