Dear Ms. Boris:
This refers to the special closecut inspection conducted on May 27, 1993 8t of the former laboratory and testing facilities located at 4620 East 71 Street, (,Jyahoga Heights, Ohio which is currently owned by Northern Stamping, Inc.
Licensed activities were previously authorized by Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) Source Material License No. SUB-896. This special inspection was conducted by Mr. D. G. Wiedeman of this office with the assistance from the staff of the Cuyahoga County Board of Health. This also refers to the telephone conversatfon between D. G. Wiedeman and you on June 7, 1993, regarding the results of our confirmatory measurements conducted during the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during the inspection. The inspection consisted of a selective examination of representative records from the former license file, observations and independent measurements.
Based upon-this inspection, we have concluded that the building and surrounding environment formerly occupied by the Tocco 1
Division of the Ohio Crankshaft Company was successfully decontaminated in accordance with NRC guidelines for release of facilities for unrestricted use.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter, and the enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document l
Room.
