Docket No. 50-443 Serial No. SEA-93-007 Mr. Ted C. Feigenbaum Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer North Atlantic Energy Service Corporation Post Office Box 300 Seabrook, New Hampshire 03874
Dear Mr. Feigenbaum:
SUBJECT:
NORTH ATLANTIC ENERGY SERVICE CORPORATION CONFIRMATION RELATED TO ACTIONS REQUIRED BY NRC GENERIC LETTER 92-08 (TAC M85603)
Generic Letter 92-08, dated December 17, 1992, required licensees to provide certain information related to the use of Thermo-Lag 330-1 fire barrier systems in their facilities. This generic letter expanded the reporting requirements of previously-issued directives related to the use of Thermo-Lag to include information on all Thermo-Lag 330-1 fire barriers fabricated by any assembly method and where the barriers are used to protect safe-shutdown capability or to achieve physical independence of electrical systems.
North Atlantic Energy Service Corporation responded to Generic Letter 92-08 by letter dated March 31, 1993. That response reconfirmed that Thermo-Lag 330 fire barrier systems are not used at the Seabrook Station.
Therefore, we plan no further action with respect to TAC M85603.
Sincerely, Original signed by Albert W. De Agazio, Sr. Project Manager Project Directorate I-4 Division of Reactor Projects - I/II 6
