SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-482/93-04
This refers to the inspection conducted by an NRC team from Region IV
accompanied by the NRR Profw.t Manager on February 22-24 and March 1-5, 1993,
and to the public meeting hc 4 on site in the training center on March 1,
1993. The inspection includs a review of activities authorized for your Wolf
Creek Generating Station facility. At the conclusion of the inspection, the
findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the
enclosed report. Your presentation at the public meeting and the list of
attendees are also identified in the enclosed report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. These
areas included reviews of modifications and design change packages, interviews
with personnel, and reviews of quality assurance audits and assessments of the
engineering and technical support organization. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities in progress.
The results of this inspection are documented in the enclosed report.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of
this letter and its enclosure will be placed ir the NRC Public Document Room.
