The purpose of this letter is to notify the NRC of the completion of the Human Engineering Discrepancies (HEDs) referenced in the NRC's Safety Evaluation, dated November 2,1989, of the Brunswick Detailed Control Room Design Review (DCRDR). The NRC Safety Evaluation requested Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) address corrective actions for three Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP) instrumentation HEDs and provide a description of the results of the disposition of the 206X-2106 " joy stick zoning" HED, along with the schedule for implementing any associated i
corrective action.
l By letter dated January 5,1990, CP&L responded to the NRC's request to address corrective j
(
actions for three EOP instrumentation HEDs and provided the disposition of the " joy stick zoning" l
HED. The corrective actions for the three EOP instrumentation HEDs were as proposed in Revision 1 to the Brunswick DCRDR Final Summary Report, dated June 23,1987 (NLS-87-123).
These modifications were completed with paperwork closeout dated March 21,1991 for Unit 1, and December 19,1991 for Unit 2. The disposition of the " joy stick zoning" was also as stated in Revision 1 to the Brunswick DCRDR Final Summary Report, and these modifications were completed with paperwork closeout dated February 28,1993 for Unit 1, and December 9,1991 for Unit 2.
