Catawba Nuclear Station Docket No. 50413 LER 413/93-002 Gentlemen:

On February 25,1993, Catawba Unit 1 entered Technical Specification 3.0.3 due to both trains of the Nuclear Service Water (RN) System being inoperable. The Licensee Event Report (LER) for this event is due March 29,1993.

At this time, Catawba requests a one week extension to April 5,1993 for submittal of this LER.

This extension period is necessary to provide time to complete a thorough investigaiton of the event and allow for management review of tiie final report.
