NRC BULLETIN 89-01, SUPPLEMENT 2, STEAM GENERATOR TUBE MECHANICAL PLUGS FOR CATAWBA, UNIT 1 (TAC NO. M81601)
HRC Bulletin 89-01, Supplement 2, " Failure of Westinghouse Steam Generater Tube Mechanical Plugs," was issued on June 28, 1991, and the Duke Power Company (DPC) responded to it on August 9, 1991. By letter dated t
November 8,1991, the NRC staff requested further information clarifying the responses as applicable to Catawba, Unit 1.
The DPC letter of December 18, 1991, provided further information that either indicated that the items in question were not applicable to Unit 1 or provided the information requested to be reported by Supplement 2 of the Bulletin. Accordingly, we find this issue and its associated TAC No. M81601 to be closed for Unit 1.
The closure of this issue for Unit 2 was reported in our earlier letter dated November 8, i
1991.
