Dear Ms. Ponzar:
This is to follow up our telephone conversation today when I informed you that the Jefferson College Library has been selected as the official Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) local public document room (LPDR) for the Combustion Engineering, Inc. uranium fuel facility (Hematite), located in Hematite, MO, docket number 70-36.
As we discussed, I am sending you, under separate cover, a set of the publicly available records the NRC has for docket 70-36, beginning with Combustion Engineering, Inc.'s November 22, 1989, license renewal application. The documents are filed in date order and placed in files and folders.
The files and folders are labeled with the date range 'of documents in each file / folder.
The following is a list of items being sent:
1.
Documents for the Hematite, MO, facility in files and folders dated 11/22/89 forward.
2.
Accession _ List (Index)
Notebook for documents dated 11/22/89 forward.
3.
LPDR User's Guide - instructions for use and maintenance of the collection.
4.
Additional files and folders to use as needed.
5.
Blank file labels to use as needed.
The document collection should be set up with the notebooks (reference materials) being placed on the shelf first.
The files and accordion folders (in this order) should be placed next to the reference materials.
I will be sending out documents once a week (if there are any) to be filed into the document collection.
They should be filed in date order (some interfiling may be necessary to keep documents in n

Documents sent to you with two holes punched in the top should be placed into the pronged files and the
- larger, bulky documents should be placed into the accordion folders. As each file / folder becomes full, fill out the date range on the label and start a new file / folder.
Please do not over stuff the file / folders.
We will provide you with as many additional files and folders as you need.
I will also be sending out once a week (if there are any) weekly accession list (index) pages.
They should be filed into the notebook with the same name.
Please remember, and inform other staff, that patrons may make copies of any document that is part of the LPDR collection but that nothing can be removed from the library.
This is our policy to ensure that all records are available for any person interested in usirg the document collection.
