20555 Subj ect : Vithdrawal of License Amendment Application to Delete the Reference to Surveillance Requirement 4.0.5 from the Boric Acid Pumps Technical Specifications (TAC Number 68071)
Gentlemen Toledo Edison's letter dated July 28, 1988 (Serial Number 1524) submitted the subject license amendment request for NRC review.
Following a telephone discussion with the Davis-Besse NRC project manager on October 11, 1989, a request to revise the boric acid pumps Technical Specifications Bases was submitted by Toledo Edison's letter dated February 1, 1990 (Serial Number 1747).
The license amendment request and proposed revision of the boric acid pump Technical Specifications bases were discussed in detail with the NRC Staff in a telephone call on March 19, 1990.
As a result of this discussion with the NRC Staff and subsequent reconsideration of the requested changes, Toledo Edison is withdrawing the license amendment requested by letter dated July 28, 1988 (Serial Number 1524) and the bases change requested by letter dated l
February 1, 1990 (Serial Number 1747).
