Subject:-Inspection Report No. 50-286/90-04
This letter refers to the ' routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. C. H.
Woodard of this office on- February-21 -22 and February 28 - March 2,1990 at
the Indian Point Station Unit No. 3 in Buchanan, New York. Mr. Woodard-
discussed the results of the inspection with your staff at the conclusion of
the inspection.
This inspection was conducted to review your program and procedures that ensure
an adequate quality and proper quantity of emergency diesel generators fuel oil
.
to meet your ', cense requirements. Within these areas,.the inspection
consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector. -Our inspection-
findings are described in the NRC Region I Inspection ~ Report which is enclosed
with this letter.
Certain paragraphs in the enclosed inspection report contain details of'your
security program that have been determined to be exempt from public disclosure
in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21 (Safeguards Information). Therefore, they;
will not be placed in the NRC Public Document Room and will receive limited
distribution. This letter and the remainder of the inspection report will be
placed in the Public Document room, in accordance with-10 CFR 2.790(a).
