Inspection No. 70-371/90-03 This refers to the routine safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. G. C. Smith of this office on March 19-22, 1990, at UNC Naval Products, Uncasville, Connecticut of activities authorized by NRC License No. SNM-368 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Smith with Messrs. R. Gregg and R. Gigliotti of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspectiori consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
