This inspection examined the area ~of instrumentation calibration. Within this.
area, the inspection consisted of selective examination of: procedures and
,
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspector. The inspection findings are documented in the enclosed inspection
,
report.

During the course of the inspection, two commitments were made to the NRC by
e
Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD). These commitments, related to the
,
modification of taped electrical splices'in harsh environments:and the revision
of the procedures for the. installation of taped splices, are discussed in
'
paragraph 3 of the enclosed report'.
If your understanding of the NPPD commitments
differs from those stated in this report, we request that you ir. form us within
.
30 days of the date of this letter.
