Dear Sir:
t This application for an amendment to the James A. FitzPatrick Technical Specifications revises Table 4.2-2, " Minimum Test and Calibration Frequency for Core and Containment Cooling Systems." It deletes the reference for functional testing of the time delay relays and timers for the High Pressure Coolant injection and the Reactor Core Isolation Cooling subsystems' automatic isolation signals. These changes revise the Technical Specificatior.s to reflect the plant design as described in the Final Safety Analysis Report and the assumptions used in the plant's accident analyses.-
Enclosed for filing is the signed original of a document entitled " Application for Amendment to Operating Ucense," with Attachments I and ll thereto, comprising a statement of the proposed changes to the Technical Specifications and the associated Safety Evaluation.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.91, a copy of this application and the associated attachments are being provided to the designated New York State official.
