Gentlemen:

Thank you for your letter of January 22, 1990, in response to our letter and

Notice of Violation dated December 15, 1989. We have reviewed your reply

and find it responsive to the concerns raised in our Notice of Violation.

However, in reference to your reply to Violation 298/8934-03, y6u stated that

an audit in March 1989 had discovered the-problems stated in the Notice of

Violation.

That audit was a corporate ' audit, and the findings of that audit -

were not mentioned or made available to the inspector at the time of this

inspection. Your response raised a concern about the timeliness.of your

corrective actions in that an issue identified by your Quality Assurance-

Department in March 1989 still had not been corrected 7 months later.-

We will review the implementation of your corrective actions during a future

inspection to determine that full compliance has been achieved and will be

maintained.
