Gentlemen:

This refers to the ins)ection conducted by Mr. R. C. Stewart of this office

during the period Marc 1 12-16, 1990, of activities authorized by NRC Operating

License Permit DPR-46 for Cooper Nuclear Station, and to the discussion of our

findings with Mr. G. R. Horn and other members of your staff at the conclusion

of the inspection.

The area examined during the inspection was receipt, storage, and handling of

,

equipment and materials. Within this area, the inspection consisted'of

selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with

personnel, and observations by the inspector. The inspection findings are

documented in the enclosed inspection report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were

identified.

We have also examined actions you have taken with regard to a previously

identified inspection finding. The status of this item is identified in

paragraph 2 of the enclosed report.
