This letter transmits the dutine resident safety inspection by Messrs. T. Kenny,

L. Scholl, and Ms. M. Evans from January 1 - January 29, 1990 at the Limerick -

Generating Station.. Limerick, Pennsylvania.
The inspection consisted of document
reviews, interviews, and observations of activities. The results have been
discussed with Mr. Graham Leitch of your staff.
Based on our inspection, an apparent violation of 10CFR 50.49, paragraph (f)
concerning the unqualified installation of Raychen heat shrink tubing on one
of the containment high range monitor connector assemblies was identified.
This apparent violation has been categorized by severity level in accordance
-
with 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (Enforcement Policy). Based on our review of
your of root causn analysis and the corrective actions already taken, no written
response to the violation is required.
A copy of this letter and the enclosures will be placed in the Public Document
