On October 19, 1989, thestaffissuedGenericLetter(GL)89-21whichrequested information concerning the status of implementation of unresolved safety issues (USI) at your facility.

Based on your response to this GL, dated November 29, 1989, our review of Agency records and discussions between your staff and the NRC Project Manager, the NRC staff has compiled the enclosed list representing our assessment of USI implementation.

These results were presented to the Commission at a meeting on February 14, 1990.

Enclosure I to this letter presents the staff's understanding of the current status of all unirplemented USI for the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Power Plant, Units-1 and 2.

The staff encourages your effort to complete the unimplemented USI.
