EMERGENCY OPERATING PROCEDURE (EOP) INSPECTION PROGRAM This 'is to advise. you of a special inspection initiative that is being

performed at operating reactors.
It will 1-nclude an inspection to be m
performed at your North Anna site.
The initiative is entitled the "E0P Inspection Program."
The - purpose of the _ inspection is to verify that-the E0Ps are technically accurate;1 that;specified actions can be meaningfully accomplished using
. existing equipment, controls, and instrumentation; and that the available procedures have thez usability necessary to provide the operator' with an
' effective operating tool.
-The inspection program is a team inspection. The inspection team will include
- two Jor three reactor inspectors, a. licensing examiner, a human factors specialist, and-the. North Anna senior resident inspector.
TheLinspection is
-scheduled for June 4-15, 1990..The team leader for this inspection will be Mr. L. Lawyer from Region II.
Mr. Lawyer will-contact members of your staff l
in-the near future to discuss the details of the inspection.
