This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Messrs. Thomas Foley and' ,
Thomas' J. Kenny of this office on April 16, 1982 to May 15, 1982 at Indian
Point Nuclear Generating station. Unit 3. Buchanan New Yott, of activities
authorized by HRC License No. OPR 64 and to the discussions of our findings
held by Mr. T. J. Kenny with yourself and other members of your staff at the

conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined & ring this inspection are described in the toport enclosed with
this lettar. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examina-
tions of procedures and represer.tative records. interviews with personnel, and '
observations by the inspector.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified.

Our inspector also verifled the steps you have taken to correct the item of non-
conpliance brought to yJur attention in the enclosure to our letters dated March
18,1980 and March 29. 1982. We have no further questions Mgarding your action
at this time.
