Docket No. 50-335 Notification of Unusual Event On November 25, 1981, a station service transformer failed taking four Motor Control Centers (MCC) out of service. These MCC's serviced various equipment in the fuel handling building, one diesel generator building, and the reactor area.
The reactor WM shutdown for refueling and overhaul at the time.
The shutdown cooling systems remained in service. All plant parameters remained normal and there was no concern for radiological releases.
No personnel injuries resulted from the incident.
The Nuclear Plant Supervisor on duty at St. Lucie declared the incident an Unusual Event and notified the Nuclear Regulatory Commission,- State Warning Point in Tallahassee, and the FPL Emergency Control Officer (ECO).
The purpose of this letter is to notify you of an Unusual Event in accordance with Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure'1101.
