REPORTABLE OCCURRENCE 81-86/0lP SALEM NO. 2 UNIT LER This letter is to confirm our verbal report to the NRC Resident Inspector on Friday, September 4, 1981, advising of a potential reportable occurrence in accordance with Technical Specification 6.9.1.8.b.
At 1610 hours0.0186 days <br />0.447 hours <br />0.00266 weeks <br />6.12605e-4 months <br />, September 3, 1981, No. 21 steam generator steam flow channels 1 and 2 were declared inoperable due to being out of calibration.
A unit shutdown was commenced and the inoperable channels were placed in the tripped condition.
Both channels have been recalibrated satisfactorily and returned to service.
A detailed report will be submitted in the time period specified by Technical Specification 6.9.1.8.b.
