Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Alternate Water Supply for Fire Protection System Amendment No. 38 to the Oyster Creek Operating License and Technical SIx3cifications requires us to cmplete modifications to the Fire Protection Systen as specified in the NRC Fire Protection Safety Evaluation and suppleents thereto for Oyster Creek. In addition, it requires that in the event these dates cannot be met, the licensee shall subnit a report explaining the circumstances together with a revised schedule. Your letter of February 13, 1981, extended the cmpletion date for installaticn of the alternate water supply tank until Noventer 17, 1981.
In accordance with Amendment No. 38, this letter informs you that the Alternate Water Supply for the fire protection yard loop was made operational at 0130 on Novenber 18, 1981. 'Ihe delay in meeting our November 17, 1981 cmmitment was due to difficulties encountered in our pre-operational testing and the resulting nodifications which had to be ccmpleted prior to declaring the system operational.
