Dear Mr. Palladino:
On behalf of many o+her Californians who oppose nuclear power, I heartily commend you and your staff for your independent decision to suspend the_ low-power testing license for the Diablo Canyon nuclear power I also commend you for your testimony before government officials plant.
stating that nuclear power plants have been constructed without sufficient attention to quality control.
I'strongly urge you and your staff to deny any future permits to Pacific Gas and Electric allowing them to operate the Diablo Canyon facility. What has happened at Harrisburg, Pennslyvania must not happen at San Luis Obispo, California. Diablo Canyon must be converted to a non-nuclear power plant.
I urge the N.R.C. to take immediate action to implement the conversion of the Diablo Canyon facility.
