This is in response to your request of September 24, 1980 for a change to
-the route approved by our letters of December 19, 1979, March 12, 1980, July 21, 1980 and September 23, 1980.
The route previously' approved remains in effect contingent upon meeting the requirements of 10 CFR Part 73.37 relative to heavily populated areas. The change you proposed is approved (enclosure).
Please insert the enclosure between pages 3 and 4 of " Route Data, Portsmouth, Virginia to Savannah River,- South Carolina, November 1979."
Please note that assuring highway safety is the responsibility of the licensee and carrier and our approval is not intended to provide relief in this regard.
Furthermore, the approval does not guarantee that there will be no local or state legislation applicable to the route that restricts or prohibits the movement of radioactive, material.
