Gentlemen:

In accprdance with your application dated September 10, 1981, and pursuant to Title 10 Code of Eederal Regulations. Part 70, Conditions 22(b), 23 and 24 of Special Nuclear Material License No. SNM-777 are hereby amended to read as follows:

22(b). pH, nitrate and fluoride.

23. Monthly samples shall be taken in the plant well (supply) and analyzed for pH, nitrate and flurmide if the water is used for drinking purposes.

If the concentration of NO3 -(N) exceeds 10 ppm in the plant well, the water shall not be used for drinking purposes. Trace elementscon-centrations in the plant well, i.e., Cd, Hg, Pb, 2n, Mo and N1, shall be analyzed annually from composf ted water samples collected monthly.

24. Monthly samples of liquid found in the storage tank leak i

detection system shall be analyzed for gross alpha,and j

beta and specific conductivit.".

The above license conditions were discussed and agreed to by Mr. Glem Amy and Mr. Bidinger of ny staff on October 13, 1981.

All other conditions of this license shall remain the same.
