In nid-October we discussed with Mr. John Patterson of your office the possibility of usinq his servkes n an expert witness on uranium-resource prices and availability during the forthconing operating license hearings in Fort Worth, Texas, for the Comanche Peak facility (Glen Rose, Texas), connencing Decenber 2, 1981.

f'r. Patterson was also helpful in workinq with Ms. M. Rothschild (Staff Counsel) on the preparation of an affidavit we intended to use in seeking sumary disposition of the contention in questior:.

The Atonic Safety and Licensing Board has recently dismissed that contention from the proceedings. Therefore, we no longer need the services of Mr. Patterson.

Hnwever, we do wish to express our aopreciation to you and to fir. Patterson for the assistance given us as we prepared for the forthcorainq hearings.
