Thank you for your letter of August 7,1981, in response to our letter datdd July 7,1981. As a result of our review, we find that additional infomation is needed. Specifically, for Item A:
(1) please provide the basis for your statement that welders JA and BL performed bead tenter repair-s, with both using 1/8" and 3/32" incoesi electrodes, when the weld material / welder log showed that JA was issued only 3/32" electrodes and BL was issued only 1/8" electrodes; (2) please provide the basis for your conclusion that welder FG did not use the 5/32",9018 electrodes for pressure boondary welding, and indicate if the applicable Quality Contrn1 Weld Log (QCWL) was corrected to reflect that conclusion; (3) please provide the basis for your conclusion that welder HN did not utilize the 3/32" Inconel electrodes for pressure boundary welding, and indicate if the QCWL was corrected to reflect that conclusion; and (4) please provide the basis for your conclusion that welder SD did not use 3/16",9018 electrodes for pressure boundary welding.
Please provide this additional information within 25 days from the date of this letter in order that we may complete our review.
