In a letter of July 14,1981 (Reference) the C-E Owners Group stated their.,
,9 intention of responding to the requirements of NRC TMI Action Plan Itca.
II.K.3.30 by responding to several concerns with the C-E Small Break LOCA '
LJ Evaluation Model which had been identified by the NRC Staff at an earlier

, )J i meeting. Since then, representatives of the C-E Owners Group and of C-E

c met with the NRC Staff on October 30,1981 and presented an overview of, i

the ongoing work on the small Break Model.
We have attempted to meet the January 1,1982 submittal schedule fer the ' ', [ f'

II.K.3.30 study. At this time, we have determined that this submittal, s.
schedule cannot be met. Therefore, we request an extension of the deadline 1

to March 31, 1982.
